BKFC will be hosting an interesting card opener from Marbella, Spain on Oct. 12 when two members of the MMA media will be fighting each other.
The lightweight amateur bout takes place between The Mac Life's Oscar Willis and commentator and on-air personality Ben Davis. Both men have competed before but this will be their first time in the ring doing bare-knuckle boxing and it's exciting for the whole media community.
Willis competed and won an MMA fight at Tuff-N-Uff in 2022 and even knocked down his opponent. Davis, on the other hand, has competed in several exhibition bouts including a grappling match, a boxing fight on MF & DAZN X Series 9 and a Karate Combat appearance. He won his Karate match but lost his boxing and grappling appearances.
UFC president Dana White even weighed in on the match during his DWCS post-event press conference when asked to give advice to Willis, who attends UFC events regularly for Conor McGregor's website.
"What? Don't do it! Is that why he's not here?" White said. "He's [Willis] a great kid. I wish him all the luck in the world. I hope he doesn’t get his face busted up," White said, seemingly generally interested in the match asking when it was happening and how he could watch.
The oddsmakers have Willis a heavy favorite at -300 and Davis the underdog at +240.
The fight will be the first match on the card and is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET live on DAZN.
