3 possible next opponents for Terence Crawford after becoming undisputed champion again

3 possible next opponents for Terence Crawford after becoming undisputed champion againDAZN

Terence Crawford vowed that he would become undisputed welterweight world champion and he did just that Saturday night, dropping Errol Spence Jr. three times en route to a riveting ninth-round TKO.

After the brilliant boxing performance, Crawford has his fair share of options for his next fight.

Here, DAZN looks at three possible next opponents for Terence Crawford:

A rematch with Spence

Despite being so thoroughly dominated by Crawford, Spence made his intentions clear that he wants a rematch — even mentioning a possible time for it in December.

Crawford displayed such superiority over Spence Saturday night that he may not want to entertain a rematch.

Then again, allowing Spence to invoke that rematch clause would be an honorable thing to do and it would likely involve another lucrative purse, so why not?

Going for an undisputed three-peat

He's already snatched undisputed crowns at junior welterweight and now welterweight. The next option would be moving up to 154 pounds and taking aim at undisputed ruler Jermell Charlo for an unprecedented third undisputed world championship in three weight classes. No boxer has done that.

Charlo fights Canelo Alvarez on September 30, but accepting a challenge from "Bud" would keep his star profile plump.

Crawford vs. Jaron Ennis

Undefeated Jaron Ennis has some otherworldly boxing skills that has drawn comparisons to Roy Jones Jr. and he wants a crack at the best.

For Crawford to be willing to put his own surgical boxing mastery against Ennis would be a true treat for boxing fans and critics alike.

The sweet science would win and it would give Crawford the chance to shut down yet another solid fighter, only adding to his legacy.
