The former middleweight MMA champion is prolonging his boxing career

Former MMA middleweight champion Anderson Silva is ready to take on Logan Paul in his next fight.

The 26-year-old YouTuber took on Floyd Mayweather a fortnight ago and was able to go all eight rounds without suffering a knockout, something which many regard as a victory of sorts given Mayweather’s track record in professional boxing.

Silva meanwhile has three professional boxing fights to his name, the same as Paul has in both professional and amateur, but he also has a decade-plus career in UFC where he proved himself to be one of the greatest middleweights of all time.

On Saturday night, 46-year-old Silva took on and defeated former WBC middleweight belt holder Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The Brazilian is friends with both Logan and and his younger brother Jake Paul who appears to have a more natural aptitude for the sport. Jake is set to fight former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley in August, and Silva could be Logan’s next opponent.

“I respect both. I have a great relationship with both brothers, and yeah, I think this is possible, too. That’s entertaining. It’s a fight, but it’s entertaining. Logan and his brother are amazing guys," Silva said to MMA Junkie.

"The people like to talk a lot about the guys, but they’re very good people. I respect both, and I respect the sport. I think everything’s possible. I think the next fight may be with Logan Paul, maybe.”
