Andre Ward apparently read enough exchanges between Shakur Stevenson and Eddie Hearn to add in his own two cents as to why a proposed Stevenson vs. Josh Warrington featherweight title unification fight isn't happening.
The retired boxing great and manager of Stevenson took to his Twitter account Wednesday and shot toward Hearn:
Ward's explanation came in response to Stevenson and Hearn airing out their back-and-forth exchanges on Twitter for the world to see, with the Matchroom Boxing USA president alleging that the fight isn't happening because Stevenson's team turned down his offer.
That's when Ward stepped in with his tweet. However, even after that, Hearn and Stevenson continued to trade jabs over the situation.
They did seem to end their exchange on a positive note, though.
Whether the Stevenson vs. Warrington featherweight title unification bout happens once the coronavirus pandemic subsides remains to be seen.
