Andy Ruiz will have his hands full on August 3 when he faces Jarrell Miller in Los Angeles but that hasn't prevented the former world heavyweight champion from looking forward.
Ruiz returns to action on a huge show in California and a win is likely to put him in the mix for a future title shot.
Ruiz shocked the world in 2019 when he dropped Anthony Joshua four times before stopping the British fighter in New York City.
He was once linked to a fight with Canelo Alvarez, but it appears that David Benavidez, a current light-heavyweight contender, could be in Ruiz’s plans following a recent interview.
“I think David can do anything because he’s big, he’s strong,” said Ruiz when speaking to FightHype.
“He’s super young, he’s super, super young. If he does go to heavyweight, hopefully, he gives me the opportunity to fight too.”
