Andy Ruiz believes a fight with Deontay Wilder should be straightforward to arrange.

The former heavyweight world champion continues his return to the top when he faces Luis Ortiz in September and after already shocking Anthony Joshua in 2019, Ruiz wants to cause another upset by derailing the comeback of Wilder.

Inactive since last October, Wilder has recently stated his intent to resume his career following two painful losses to Tyson Fury.

Wilder’s next move is still unconfirmed, but Ruiz, if successful against the Cuban monster, is willing to step up to the plate and be in the opposite corner when Wilder decides the time is right to fight again.

“The heavyweight division is so open right now," said Ruiz, reported BoxingScene. "I just got to get this win first against Luis Ortiz. Like I said, it’s a hard opponent, but, of course, I would love to fight Wilder if he comes out of retirement.

“I don’t know if he said he’s going to come out of retirement, but I would love to fight him. We’re both under PBC and Al Haymon, and that fight would be easy to make."
