It’s over eight years since Anthiny Joshua defeated Dillian Whyte and the pair almost came close to renewing hostilities last year.
One of British boxing’s most fierce rivalries in the modern era, Joshua has once again spoken about his longstanding foe, and he’s claimed that he ruined his career with one shot when they met in 2015.
Joshua and Whyte took part in a vicious encounter back then with British title glory on the line and it was Joshua who came out on top.
A postponed meeting last year due to an issue with Whyte’s drug test prevented a rematch from taking place but Joshua has once again spoken about the feud as he gets ready to face Francis Ngannou in March.
"As much as there is hype around Ngannou, he still has to come through me. He is looking at someone who knows how to fight,” said Joshua when speaking to Boxing News
“I am a power puncher myself. I break peoples’ eye sockets. I broke Wallin’s nose and eye socket, Helenius got sparked out, and I f---ing ruined Dillian Whyte’s career with an uppercut. The list goes on.
“He has to deal with me and that is what is going to make it a good fight.”
