Anthony Joshua: 'I want to try some new things' in preparation for Oleksandr Usyk rematchDAZN
The Brit is looking to regain the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles after losing soundly to Usyk in their first meeting.

Anthony Joshua is open to anything as he prepares for his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.

The 32-year-old lost the WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles to Usyk last September in astounding fashion, and now Joshua says he's ready to mix up his training in order to prepare himself for another bout with the Ukrainian sometime over the next few months. Whether it's additions to his coaching staff, different locations, or new training methods, Joshua is ready to put it all on the table to regain his spot at the top of the heavyweight ladder.

“Maybe I can do a training camp in Dubai, maybe I can do a training camp in Africa, in America – just a new environment to get inspired again and to take the heavyweight division by storm," Joshua said at Expo 2020 this week.

The Brit called himself "a loyal character" and highlighted how his tried-and-true methods worked earlier in his career, but now Joshua believes the time is right to make a few changes in order to defeat Usyk and, ultimately, get back on the path that would see him challenge for the WBC belt currently held by Tyson Fury in an attempt to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

"People ask me 'what does it take to get to the top?' But that's the easy part, staying there, that's the hustle, so staying there is a whole other category," he said.

"We're not talking about staying there for a year or two. Do you want to stay there for five or ten years? That's when the sacrifice happens.

"Now is probably the time in my career where when I get home, I'm going to put in some real work and make some sacrifice.

"It's all good, everything will make sense in the long run, but as it stands now, I'm going for a new environment, to work with some new coaches and just go to war. It’s a warrior mindset.”
