The next few months are big ones for British heavyweight stars Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
Joshua will be in action for a third time in 2023 when he takes on Otto Wallin on December 23 as a part of the "Day of Reckoning" event in Saudi Arabia which will be broadcast live across the world on DAZN PPV.
Fury, who is the WBC world heavyweight champion, will then return to the ring on February 17, 2024, when he finally faces Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title.
The results of both of these fights will have huge implications for the future of the their respective careers, but there is still one fight fans want to see above all else, and that's an all-British showdown between Joshua and Fury.
There have been a number of attempts to get this contest made without any success and with the two men not getting any younger, the clock is ticking to finally strike a deal for this colossal clash.
While Fury may not feature in Joshua's immediate plans as he prepares to face Wallin, the former Olympian is confident that he would beat the current WBC champion if the two were to finally go head-to-head.
“It’d be a good fight," Joshua told TNT Sports.
“[I would win]. I’m too quick, too strong, he can’t lean on me, he can’t throw me about, and I’m explosive.
“I can knock people out, I’d knock a lot of people out.
“It won’t be early, he’s a good fighter, but I’d be there.”
