Robert Garcia is fully aware of the qualities possessed by Anthony Joshua, and he believes his former fighter can become heavyweight champion later this month.
Joshua will clash with Daniel Dubois on September 21, live on DAZN, and victory will see him become world ruler for a third time.
After his first loss to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021, Joshua made changes to his team and spent time under the tutelage of Garcia.
Joshua would eventually leave the American to join up with Derrick James before settling with Ben Davison, and Garcia has backed the 2012 Olympic gold medalist to defeat Dubois.
“It is a close fight because we can’t underestimate a world champion, nobody can, nobody should,” said Garcia when speaking to Boxing King Media.
“But me personally I think the activity, the confidence he built in his last four fights, it’s enough to turn it into an easy fight. I think Joshua wins comfortably and I think he wins by knockout.”
