Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder - Carl Froch makes incredible one round prediction for potential heavyweight clashDAZN
A huge heavyweight fight could take place next year.

Carl Froch is backing Deontay Wilder to defeat Anthony Joshua in one round if the pair clash next year.

The former world super-middleweight champion is now one of boxing’s most outspoken voices and he’s not afraid to share his opinion on the leading matters that currently exist within the sport today.

On December 23, Joshua will face Otto Wallin on the same event that will see Wilder go in with ex-WBO champion, Joseph Parker.

If both Joshua and Wilder win, then it’s expected that the pair will jump into a huge battle next year that has been a long time coming.

Froch, who was trained by Robert McCracken, the coach who took AJ to a world title, doesn’t give his countryman much chance against Wilder.

“Deontay Wilder knocks him spark out in one round, I’ve always said that, and I still think it is true,” said Froch when speaking on In the Zone podcast

“Wilder would come out in the first round looking for AJ, who is tentative at the best of times, but he is now afraid of his own shadow these days. I think Wilder catches him with a bomb that lands on his chin, and he goes down and just does not get up.”
