Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will both appear on the same bill on December 23 and they’ll each be looking to send a message to each other.
The longtime rivals will share the spotlight next month before hopefully agreeing to a huge showdown in 2024, shown live on DAZN, that will see the pair finally step in the ring together.
A potential showdown between tow of boxing’s most entertaining fighters is likely to do huge business and the entire sporting world is excited by the prospect of it.
John Barnes, a footballing legend with Liverpool and England, is one such person and he’s delivered his verdict on what could be a heavyweight classic.
“I’m a little bit worried for AJ because Wilder has one hell of a punch,” said Barnes when speaking to DAZN via Stakefans.com.
“Once AJ comes under pressure, we’ve seen what happens, but Wilder hasn’t fought in a while. Because I love AJ, I’m hoping his chin can hold up to one of the haymakers from Wilder so I’m going for AJ.”
