Eddie Hearn is very confident that Anthony Joshua will emerge victorious when he potentially faces Francis Ngannou later this year.
Last week, Hearn told his social media audience that a deal had been agreed for Joshua to meet the former UFC superstar and it’s likely that the fight happens in March.
Joshua looked back to his devastating best in December when he produced a brilliant performance to halt durable Swede, Otto Wallin.
Two months before that, Ngannou made his pro boxing debut against Tyson Fury, and he almost caused a seismic upset after dropping the WBC champion before losing narrowly losing on the scorecards.
Hearn, the promoter of Joshua since he turned professional in 2013, has had his say on how he things the fight plays out.
“I really believe AJ knocks him out, but he’s a dangerous fight,” said Hearn when speaking on The MMA Hour.
“I know that this guy’s a big, big lump that can really punch, and I think he has no fear, which makes him dangerous, but I just feel like AJ’s in a great place, and I expect him to pick him apart and knock him out.”
