WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has shined a light on a flaw with Francis Ngannou's ability inside the boxing ring.
Ngannou is set for his second boxing match as a professional when he faces two-time world champion Anthony Joshua tonight live on DAZN PPV.
Fury was the man in the opposite corner when Ngannou made his boxing debut in October, and while the British fighter was awarded the victory with a split decision, Ngannou caused a number of problems and even knocked down Fury in the third round.
Speaking to DAZN ahead of the main event in Riyadh, Fury detailed how Joshua can get an easy win over the former UFC heavyweight champion.
"If Joshua uses the jab, moves his feet, he wins comfortably, but if he gets involved, he could get tagged like I did," Fury said.
"I should have probably used my jab and danced round him and win 10-0, but I tried to jump in with big power shots and hit him."
After previewing the contest, Fury discussed a key problem with Ngannou's style inside the squared circle and why it might work against him when he takes on Joshua.
"The one thing I will say is that with his limited boxing experience, after he’s landed and hurt someone, he doesn’t have the ability to set more shots up on an elite level boxer to get him out of there."
Fury will have keen eye on this contest with the winner set to face either himself or Oleksandr Usyk after they have fought for the undisputed world heavyweight title on May 18.
