Joe Joyce believes that Anthony Joshua would have lost to Muhammad Ali had they ever fought.
Ali is a boxing legend who contributed much to the technique and entertainment we take for granted in the sport now, and he was also a world champion who took part in many legendary fights.
Joshua meanwhile is a two-time world champion who last fought at the weekend to beat Francis Ngannou, setting up a potential clash with the winner of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, which takes place on DAZN PPV on May 18.
Joyce’s next bout will be against Kash Ali on March 16, live on ESPN+ in the US ( click here for details ).
Speaking to OLBG, Joyce predicted that Ali would be too good for Joshua, had the pair met as professionals.
He explained: “Muhammad Ali beats Anthony Joshua all day. He would have smacked-talked AJ and then proceeded to jab his [head] off.
“He was a bit smaller than AJ, but it would be a bit like Ali-Foreman, Ali would probably just rope-a-dope AJ and knock him out.”
