Artur Beterbiev: It will be easy to make a fight with Saul 'Canelo' AlvarezDAZN
The light heavyweight is ready to welcome the Mexican back to 175lbs.

Unified light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev believes that it would be simple to make a fight with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

Canelo is looking for his next opponent, and there has been a suggestion that he could move back up to 175lbs by his colleague Eddie Hearn.

Canelo last fought at light heavyweight in 2019 when he fought and beat Russian Sergey Kovalev for the WBO title, before returning to super middleweight.

Beterbiev has the IBF and WBC belts at 175lbs, while WBA champion Dmitry Bivol is another option, though he may drop a division rather than offer up his belt.

Speaking to Match TV, Beterbiev said: "It would not be difficult for [Canelo's] representatives to come to an agreement with me. I have a desire to win a new title [at 175], for me it is more interesting than money. If [Canelo's handlers] contact me, I will give them a positive answer.

“I want to become an undisputed champion or try my hand at a fight with Canelo.”

Canelo last fought in May when he beat Billy Joe Saunders for the WBO super middleweight belt.
