Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol appear likely to meet later this year and the world may finally find out who is the best fighter at 175lbs.
At the backend of last year, Bivol defeated Lyndon Arthur to retain his world title and Beterbiev followed that up earlier this month by stopping Callum Smith in seven one-sided rounds.
The pair have been on a collision course for a number of years now, but it looks like the fight is getting closer with June 1 mentioned as a possible date.
Zhilei Zhang, who faces Joseph Parker in March, is eager to see who comes out on top in the light-heavyweight battle, but he seems convinced who will emerge victorious when the first bell sounds.
“I think that’s a great fight, I will definitely stay up and watch that fight,” said Zhang when discussing the contest with FightHype.
“Beterbiev is better on the record and better in the ring. If that fight happens, Beterbiev will hurt him and probably end this fight with a knockout.”
