A date has seemingly been confirmed for the undisputed light heavyweight title fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.
Beterbiev, who holds the IBF, WBC and WBO light heavyweight titles, made a statement in January with a seventh round stoppage win over Callum Smith and is now in a position to challenge WBA champion Dmitry Bivol.
With June 1 being confirmed as the date for the clash in Saudi Arabia, figures in boxing are predicting how the contest will play out.
One of those giving a verdict on the fight is Robert Garcia who believes Bivol's style should be enough to stop Beterbiev who is known for his knockout power and front foot approach.
“Bivol is one of those guys who is hard to beat because he keeps you on the outside. Like if you’re fencing, he’s really good at it," Garcia told ES News.
“You have to, and I don’t know if Beterbiev is the one, he’s got to rush him, that’s the only way he can beat him, rush him and hurt him bad.
"But Beterbiev doesn’t fight like that either. I pick Bivol to become undisputed.”
