Austin "Ammo" Williams would prefer to fight Jaime Munguia instead of Jermall Charlo.
Charlo is the WBC middleweight champion while Munguia is one of the top-rated fighters in the division, and the 26-year-old American would delay any chance to fight for a full world title.
Speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show, Williams said, "I’ll take Mungia, because I think it would be a clash of cultures, I think it would be a bigger clash, we can draw two major crowds of people, and that’s fun.
“We’re practising the art of war, we’re practising war, when you get people who bring a completely different tribe, even though I’m not classified as anything. I think it will generate more interest.
"At the end of the day I’m an entertainer so I like to do the things that generate the most interest, and I think Jaime Munguia would be a great challenge for myself.
Williams fights Kieron Conway on Saturday for the vacant WBA international middleweight belt on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennadiy Golovkin 3 undercard shown live on DAZN (check for your region).
