The Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz fight set for Aug. 5 on DAZN PPV will now be a little bit bigger.
ESPN reported Tuesday that the bout will now be 10 rounds rather than the originally scheduled eight. The combatants had agreed to the change after Diaz suggested lengthening the match last week, and on Tuesday the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) approved the proposal, according to co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions Nakisa Bidarian.
Paul (6-1) has never fought in a 10-round bout, with all of his previous fights scheduled for eight rounds. UFC star Diaz will be making his boxing debut.
The fight is set to take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
