Dan Azeez has experience of stepping into the ring with Artur Beterbiev after spending many rounds sparring the current light-heavyweight world champion.
On Oct 12, live on DAZN, Beterbiev will look to become undisputed ruler at 175lbs when he faces Dmitry Bivol in Saudi Arabia.
Beterbiev enters the fight in menacing form with a perfect 20-0 record that looks even more impressive as all wins have come early.
Azeez, a contender trying to force his way to world level, has spoken about his time as part of Beterbiev’s training set up.
“Because Beterbiev knocks everyone out, nobody focuses on his other attributes. His footwork and boxing brain are very good,” said Azeez when speaking to BBC Sport earlier this year.
“He has timing and can cut the ring so well. He is a man who has boxed and beaten current heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in the amateurs, but every fighter is beatable. Nobody is invincible.”
