Martin Bakole has the opportunity to send a message to the heavyweight division this weekend when he faces Carlos Takam on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou.
Billy Nelson, the trainer of Bakole, has been singing his charge’s praises for a number of years and he’s now revealed the details of Bakole’s spars with Oleksandr Usyk.
Bakole has been employed as a sparring partner by Usyk in the past gaining valuable experience against one of the sport’s best fighters.
Nelson is hopeful that Bakole can one day challenge for the heavyweight title and the training his man received against Usyk has given him plenty of confidence.
“Martin Bakole knows how to handle Oleksandr Usyk,” said Nelson when speaking with Boxing Social.
“I mean it’s common knowledge he stopped him in sparring out over in Dubai.”
