Bruce Carrington has called out undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue following his latest victory on Saturday night.
The American featherweight was in action on the Xander Zayas vs. Patrick Teixeira undercard where he beat Brayan De Garcia with a stoppage in round eight.
De Garcia was a late replacement for original opponent Enrique Vivas who encountered visa issues, but this did not stop Carrington from producing a dominant performance.
Inoue was ringside for Carrington's victory, and with the Japanese fighter looking at a move to featherweight in the near future, Carrington was quick to express his interest in facing one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters.
"It's interesting that he's here," Carrington said after the fight.
"He came to watch, and he's leaving right now. So, obviously, he came to watch me. I'm ringing bells, and I'm making noise.
"That's what we plan on continuing to do in our career. I want to make that fight happen some time soon."
