The four-weight champion is the clear favourite ahead of a busy schedule.

Mexican super middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has declared himself a better boxer than Turkish challenger Avni Yildirim.

The pair will meet on February 27 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, USA.

BoxingScene.com reports that Alvarez claimed he had the upper hand on his opponent, saying:  “I do feel superior and I am superior to Yildirim.”

However the 30-year-old four-division champion is not going to take his opponent lightly.

"But I'm training like it's my biggest fight and I'm not underestimating him at all,” he said.

“I know this is boxing and one punch can change everything. It's not in me to underestimate anyone.''

Canelo is the clear favourite going into the fight, and promoter Eddie Hearn is planning to announce a Billy Joe Saunders clash for May assuming the Mexican defeats Yildirim.

For now, Alvarez is counting on nothing.

"I'm not going to deny the favoritism, but boxing is very complicated and I do think Yildirim will be a good opponent,'" Canelo said.

"He's a good boxer and I think we're going to make an exciting fight for the audience who are going to attend the event that night and for those who will follow the fight on television.''
