175lbs glory could be up for grabs this year.

Dmitry Bivol is set to take on the hardest fight of his career in 2024 when he aims to grab undisputed glory at 175lbs against Artur Beterbiev.

The light-heavyweight pair, both world champions, are rumoured to collide at some point this year and Bivol is fully aware of the threat that is in front of him.

Earlier this month, Beterbiev registered one of the biggest wins of his career when he stopped Britain’s Callum Smith in seven rounds.

The win ensured that Beterbiev maintained his 100% stoppage streak which now stands at 20 from as many fights and that form has caught the attention of Bivol.

“To be honest I believe that it is the hardest test,” said Bivol when speaking on Matchroom Boxing’s Flash Knockdown podcast.

“Why? Because he is stronger. I know that he is physically stronger than Canelo. He has good technique too.

"Many people talk about his power, but they forget about his technique because his power is so much better than his technique, but he still had good technique.”
