Less than a month after his triumphant homecoming win over John Ryder, Canelo Alvarez is attracting serious suitors for his next bout.
Although he stated immediately after defeating Ryder in Guadalajara last month that he wants a rematch with Dmitry Bivol, Alvarez also left the door open to "fight everybody," which includes undefeated WBC interim super middleweight champ David Benavidez.
According to a report from Chris Mannix, which has not been confirmed, Benavidez's representatives are prepared to offer Canelo "close to $50 million in guaranteed money."
"Actual purse would be in the neighborhood of $40 million, per source," Mannix tweeted. "Splits on gate revenue and PPV upside would push the total package to close to $50 million."
