Former light middleweight champion Brian Castano believes it will be Saul "Canelo" Alvarez who will emerge victorious when he defends his undisputed super middleweight title against Jermell Charlo on Saturday night.
Castano has previous experience facing Charlo. The pair met in two thrilling contests for the undisputed 154lb title. The first meeting was in 2021, but it ended in a draw which prompted the rematch.
The rematch took place a year later and there was no doubt when it came to the winner with Charlo knocking out the Argentine in round 10.
This weekend's fight against will be Charlo's first outing since he beat Castano and the 34-year-old believes Alvarez's pressure will be too much for the American.
"I think Canelo is going to wear Charlo down little by little until he gets the knockout,” Castano told reporters.
But while Castano believes Alvarez will be the one leaving the T-Mobile Arena with his hand raised, he is confident that Charlo has the experience to compete with one of the best fighters on the planet.
“Charlo is experienced and he knows exactly what to do.”
