The night of boxing in Las Vegas was not spared from controversy over the work of the judges.
Jesus Ramos lost on the scorecards to Erickson Lubin in the co-main event to Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo, raising the indignation of the fans and even Canelo himself.
From his dressing room, the undisputed super middleweight champion was watching the fight where Jesús "El Mono" Ramos put his undefeated record on the line and after hearing the three judges' scorecards, his face simply twisted.
Ramos imposed his punch and strategy on an Erickson Lubin who did little to make his case, but despite the Mexican-born fighter's best efforts, the victory went the other way.
The three ringside officials handed out scorecards with scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 117-111 to the surprise of all.
Grimacing in surprise and anger, the pound-for-pound king expressed his displeasure with the work of judges Patricia Morse Jarman, John McKaie and Chris Migliore.
