Robert Garcia is expecting a good fight if Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford ever step into the ring with each other.
The pair have long been speculated to eventually agreeing a deal, but it doesn’t look like the contest is imminent with both men set to go in different directions for the time being.
Crawford jumps to 154lbs next month when he challenges Israil Madrimov for the WBA title while Canelo has been linked to several fights including a showdown with Edgar Berlanga.
Victory for both men in their next battles could set up a huge meeting, and Garcia has had his say on the fascinating clash.
“It’ll be a fight that does really good numbers. I think it’s a fight that will sell,” said Garcia when speaking to K.O. Artist Sports.
“Crawford will put up some good rounds. I think that Canelo is the bigger guy and more experienced and I think in the later rounds, he’ll catch him and maybe stop him.
“But Crawford will put up a good fight. I know that for a fact.”
