Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez continue to be linked to a showdown with each other, and Errol Spence believes his former rival can get the job done.
Last summer, Crawford stopped Spence in a thrilling battle with undisputed glory on the line at welterweight.
Spence has been inactive since his sole defeat, but he has been rumoured to be facing Sebastian Fundora later this year.
On the subject of Crawford vs. Canelo, Spence has provided his honest verdict on what could go down between the elite pair.
“If Crawford wants to challenge himself to be great, let him try to be great,” said Spence when speaking to BoxingScene.
“I’m with it. I’d be going for Bud if he fights Canelo. I don’t know if he’d win or lose, but if anybody can pull it off, he can pull it off. He’s chasing greatness, so why not?”
