Have recent developments in boxing impacted the DAZN Divisional Power Rankings?

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez sits atop DAZN's men's pound-for-pound rankings as he has for quite some time - and yet, the confirmation of his next fight has had a ripple effect on another ongoing DAZN feature.

The DAZN Divisional Power rankings  is a regularly-updated top 10 list that attempts to order the hottest weight classes in the sport today based on quality action, buzz amongst fans, star power and more.

Super-middleweight was among those listed after a sizzling 2021 spearheaded by Canelo, who unified all four major world titles in the class, but the Mexican superstar is now setting his sights back on light-heavyweight as he prepares to face Dmitry Bivol on May 7, live on DAZN in most parts of the world.

The 168lbs scene will need to start from scratch this year, but has the talent to do so with the likes of David Benavidez eyeing chances to earn the belts that Alvarez may well vacate, should he opt to remain at light-heavy going forward.

Elsewhere on the list, the featherweights are on the rise thanks to a superb showdown between Leigh Wood and Michael Conlan, plus recent showings from Mauricio Lara, Mark Magsayo and more, with Josh Warrington vs. Kiko Martinez 2 also on its way later this month, live on DAZN .

Check out the updated March 2022 edition of the list here , as well as our regularly-updated men's and women's pound-for-pound rankings.
