Carl Froch has ripped into Tyson Fury and his camp over the eye injury that has caused Fury's heavyweight title fight with Oleksandr Usyk to be rescheduled.
The two fighters were set to face each other later this month, but after Fury received a cut to the eye whilst sparring, the bout has had to be delayed until May 18.
Fury had to have 15 stitches in the cut above his eye, but former super-middleweight champion Froch believes that there's no way that he should have allowed himself to be in that siutation.
"I don't think there's any excuse for him to get cut," Froch said on his YouTube channel.
"It never happened to me. I used to wear a face guard.
"No elbows can get through so you mitigate getting injured. That's what you should be doing before a fight of this magnitude - taking massive precautions. I'm blaming his trainer, I'm blaming Tyson himself for not taking that precaution, whether you're uncomfortable in it or not."
