Carl Froch has had plenty to say about Anthony Joshua in recent years, but he would back the former two-time world champion to defeat Francis Ngannou.
The Nottingham man has criticised many of Joshua’s choices and performances this year, but the 2012 Olympic gold medallist would emerge victorious against Ngannou according to Froch.
Last month, Ngannou was inches away from turning the heavyweight division upside down as he produced a stunning performance to almost shock Tyson Fury.
Ngannou dropped the current WBC champion before losing via split decision.
“I’d have to pick AJ to beat Ngannou,” said Froch when speaking on Froch on Fighting YouTube channel.
“Ngannou would be making his second professional boxing match, and Anthony Joshua’s a tidy, quality fighter.”
