Cecilia Brækhus, Jessica McCaskill make weight ahead of undisputed welterweight title fightDAZN
Both Brækhus and McCaskill made weight Friday, before their clash in downtown Tulsa, Okla., and live on DAZN, Saturday night.

It's official. Both Cecilia Brækhus and Jessica McCaskill made weight during the weigh-in Friday at the Tulsa Club Hotel ballroom.

Brækhus hit 145 pounds right on the nose, while McCaskill weighed in at 144.4 pounds. That means Brækhus will defend her undisputed welterweight championship as planned in the heart of downtown Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday night, live on DAZN. The women had agreed to a 145-pound catchweight ahead of the bout.

Earlier in the week, Brækhus and McCaskill both, ironically, said training during the COVID-19 global pandemic was actually a positive experience, with the weigh-in being proof.

The next time they meet each other, it will be face-to-face, with history on the line. If Brækhus (36-0, 9 KOs) finds a way to defeat McCaskill (8-2, 3 KOs), she'll snap Joe Louis' successful title defense streak. The winner of Brækhus vs. McCaskill is also slated to face the victor of the Aug. 22 bout between Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon.

Friday's weigh-in had a deliberate pause in between fighters, so that the scale in addition to the stage could get sanitized as a precaution to the coronavirus.

Here are the full weigh-in results:

  • Cecilia Brækhus (145) vs. Jessica McCaskill (144.4) for Brækhus' undisputed welterweight titles
  • Israil Madrimov (153.6) vs. Eric Walker (153.2); WBA junior middleweight title eliminator
  • Shakhram Giyasov (141.4) vs. Wiston Campos (141.4); Junior welterweight
  • Nikita Ababiy (160.2) vs. Jarvis Williams (159.4); Middleweight
  • Raymond Ford (126.8) vs. Eric Manriquez (126.6); Featherweight
