The Australian is in demand.

Austin Trout said he is prepared to fight Tim Tszyu, as the WBO light middleweight champion prepares to fight Sebastian Fundora.

The Australian will be back in the ring on March 30 to make his first title defence, live on Amazon Prime in the US (click here for details).

Tszyu had been due to fight former unified welterweight champion Keith Furman as the headliner, but he had to drop out due to injury.

Trout, a former WBA champion in the division, recently became a bare knuckle boxing champion, would be happy to try his luck, telling Boxing Scene: “I'll fight Tszyu. I'll go ahead and get rid of this Australian monster.”

He explained: “I’ll box his ears off, man. He's just coming forward. Step around. You got to stay active because you know he's coming with punches. Punch while he punches and then get around. Catch him coming in; he won't get past my jab.”

The Australian last fought Stateside in March 2022 when he beat Terrell Gausha, but the fighter sent Tszyu to the canvas during the bout, and Trout sees a weakness.

“Gausha dropped him,” Trout added. “Gausha doesn't hit that hard. If somebody who can punch is gonna run into him … you know what I mean?”
