The highly anticipated Chantelle Cameron vs. Katie Taylor rematch happens this Saturday, live on DAZN.
Cameron proved too much for Taylor when the fighters first met earlier this year, with the undisputed women's world super lightweight title remaining with the Briton.
And while Taylor, herself the undisputed lightweight champion, says she's better prepared this time around, another world champion doesn't think the Irish fighter has done enough to overcome Cameron on Saturday night.
“Katie Taylor hasn't evolved, she hasn't changed her style, she's exactly as she was ten years ago, so I can't see her coming in and being any different, whereas Chantelle can evolve and she can change, she comes out and brings something different every time she fights," Ebanie Bridges told Best Gamblings Sites.
"Chantelle is stronger, she's got accuracy, she mixes up her punches, so I see the same result again.”
Bridges, the IBF women's bantamweight titleholder since early 2022, stressed that she's not disparaging Taylor, but rather that she doesn't believe the Irish star can make the changes necessary for a different outcome against Cameron.
“It's not that Katie's s—t it's just that the reality is, she's been doing the same thing and it worked when there wasn't a big pool in women's boxing, but now the pool is deep and you've got people like Chantelle Cameron coming through, so you have to evolve," she said.
"I don't know if it's her fault or her coaches'.”
Needless to say, Bridges only sees one outcome happening Saturday night.“I don't think that Katie Taylor beats Cameron," Bridges said. "I don’t even think she can beat Chantelle at her own weight, I think she’s too good for her.
"Katie has done amazing things for the sport, but she probably could look at changing her team up a little bit, because I don't think that she has made a lot of changes or improvements over the years.
"She's an amazing fighter, and she hasn't really had to make too many changes, so that's fair. But I mean, maybe spicing things up and changing trainers, or something like that, might give her something new.”
