Chris Billam-Smith vs. Mateusz Masternak: Former champion wants winner of title fightDAZN
There's a title fight on Sunday night.

Richard Riakporhe is waiting to face the winner of Chris Billam-Smith vs. Mateusz Masternak.

The WBO cruiserweight champion and his Polish challenger go at it tonight in Bournemouth, and the winner will likely chase unification fights.

However, Riakporhe - the former British champion - is the No. 1 ranked fighter for the WBO and could be in line for a mandatory call-up before another fight can be made.

Riakporhe and Billam-Smith met before, many years ago with the current champion losing that bout.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Riakporhe new that the title challenger has plenty of strengths.

"I've done a few camps with Mateusz Masternak. I understand his style, I know the way he fights. I know what he's going to bring," he said

"He's definitely a warrior, very tough and I think that fight is going to be a very entertaining fight for the boxing public.

"The styles will definitely gel. Masternak's a warrior. His dream is to become a world champion.

"I think CBS should do it, but he can't take his eye off the ball. He has to be on point every single round, switched on."

Promoter Ben Shalom said that Riakporhe wants the winner next, explaining: “It's what he's been waiting all year for. This is the fight he wants. He can't wait [to fight] the winner.”
