Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntrye, who has trained both Terence Crawford and Chris Eubank Jr, has commented on the possibility of a fight between the pair and his relationship with the British boxer.
Crawford hasn't fought since beating Errol Spence Jr last July to become the undisputed champion in both light welterweight and welterweight, but there has been speculation that he could be set for a surprise showdown with Eubank.
However, when asked about a possible match, McIntyre, who is working with Crawford's camp after previously training Eubank, told ThaBoxingVoice that there's no truth in it.
“It’s fake news man," he claimed.
"I don’t know who put that out there. Somebody said Eubank, he could be playing but we’ll stay in the gym and be ready for whatever.
“If that fight ever does come about we sit at the table and talk about it, you never know.”
The trainer was also asked about his current relationship with Eubank, and he revealed they remain on good terms.
Adding: “I still talk to him. When I was in Vegas he still come by the gym. He was telling me he was waiting on a fight and once he has the date he’ll give me a call.”
