Chris Eubank Jr has hit out at Tyson Fury following the WBC champion’s conduct when defeating Francis Ngannou last weekend.
Fury was dropped in round three before being handed the verdict on a split decision, but the performance and result have hidden an elbow from Fury that Ngannou just brushed off.
The use of elbows is illegal in boxing and with Fury clearly landing on Ngannou with his, Eubank Jr has called the move ‘desperate.’
Eubank Jr was caught up in his own elbow controversy this year when he accused Liam Smith of applying a similar tactics, and he’s shocked that Fury went down this route.
“I was expecting something like that to happen from Ngannou, not from Tyson,” said the middleweight contender when speaking to Seconds Out.
“That just shows you how desperate he was. He knew he was in deep water.”
