Chris Eubank Jr. believes a fight with Canelo Alvarez can happen "within the next year" as the Briton takes aim at a blockbuster encounter with the super-middleweight star.
The former made a winning return to the ring after more than a year out this October when he scored a seventh-round knockout over Kamil Szeremeta at middleweight in Riyadh.
Eubank Jr. was accosted by rival Conor Benn in the aftermath, and a clash between the two likely remains a future matchup once the latter's doping suspension is lifted.

But a potential dream bout with Canelo is still very much on the cards too, with the fighter suggesting he will get a shot owing to the lack of credible opposition for the Mexican.
"That fight can absolutely happen within the next year," Eubank Jr. told Sky Sports. "He doesn't have the pool of fighters available. There aren't names left that fans want to see.
"After [David] Benavidez, there are no other guys. Maybe [Artur] Beterbiev and [Dmitry] Bivol but they are not in his weight class and he probably wouldn't go up for those guys.
"Me and Canelo would be a hell of a build-up. Two very different personalities, very different background. That would be a lot of fun. It will be a lot of fun."
Eubank Jr. would likely be required to make the step up in weight himself to face Canelo, who has proven himself one of the sport's most gifted talents over almost twenty years.
The latter's last fight came in September this year, as he defeated Edgar Berlanga by unanimous decision in Las Vegas to retain his unified titles and move to a 62-2-2 record.
