Conor McGregor provides big update on whether he'd welcome Floyd Mayweather rematchDAZN
Conor McGregor faced Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

It’s over six years since Conor McGregor switched codes from MMA to boxing and was comprehensively defeated by Floyd Mayweather.

The fight, one of boxing’s biggest ever attractions, was a huge commercial success and ever since the initial meeting ended, talk of a rematch has followed. McGregor still hasn’t given up on that opportunity.

In the years since losing to Mayweather, McGregor has return to MMA but his performances in the UFC have seen only win one of his last four encounters.

Due to his incredible popularity and the rise of crossover boxing, further chances within the boxing ring await the Irish superstar and he’s made it clear he would ‘love’ to test himself against Mayweather once more.

“One of the greatest performances in Professional Boxing this was,” wrote McGregor on X when replying to a post highlighting their first encounter.

“I landed more shots on Floyd than Canelo. I’d love another go.”
