Ricky Hatton looks set to continue fighting on the exhibition circuit and has identified two potential opponents if he does choose to step in the ring again.
The Manchester hero took part in his first unofficial bout last November when he shared eight rounds with his good friend, Marco Antonio Barrera.
With numerous boxers from Hatton’s talent laden era also participating in fights of this nature, ‘The Hitman’ shouldn’t struggle to find a willing dance partner.
Former rivals at both super-lightweight and welterweight, Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto, are two names that appeal to Hatton, and he’s made it clear that he would like the opportunity to take on both former world champions.
“Floyd seems happy to fight the YouTubers,” said Hatton when speaking about his future plans to Mega Casino.
“If I'm going to do an exhibition, I want to do it against Floyd Mayweather or Miguel Cotto, or Juan Manuel Marquez, or someone like that where I'm getting something from it, not just a few quid in my pocket.
“I'm actually getting something from it, I'm finding out first-hand how good Miguel Cotto, or Marco Antonio Barrera was, or having another move about with Floyd Mayweather. That’s something that’s not just about the money. That's something special.”
