Sebastian Fundora caused a small shock earlier this year when he outpointed Tim Tszyu to become world champion at super-welterweight.
With victory, Fundora quickly became linked to numerous high-profile fights with one of those being against Ryan Garcia.
The popular Californian caused his own upset last month when he dropped Devin Haney three times on his way to a points win against Devin Haney.
The fight has since been surrounded with controversy due to drug testing and missed weight, but Fundora has insisted he has no plans to welcome Garcia to 154lbs.
“He’s not in my weight class. He’s coming up from 140,” said Fundora when speaking to Fight Hub TV.
“It’s like when Kell Brook fought GGG. It’s a different fight, of course, but you know that’s two weight classes down. We will see if he really does come up to 154. If he doesn’t, it’s all good, I don’t care.”
