And it didn't take long for Plant, the IBF super middleweight champion, to respond to Jacobs.

Daniel Jacobs is still getting acquainted to the super middleweight division, having just moved up to 168 pounds and defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in December.

But that isn't stopping "The Miracle Man" from doing a quick scan of the landscape and being brutally honest when asked to rate the current super middleweight titleholders.

"I would probably put (IBF super middleweight champion Caleb) Plant at the bottom of those names you just named," Jacobs told Matchroom Boxing USA president Eddie Hearn during an Instagram live chat Monday.

A seemingly surprised Hearn asked: "Really?"

And Jacobs wasn't shy about explaining why he believes Plant is in the basement.

"I think Plant is good, but I think he could be beat," Jacobs tacked on. "He's beatable. I see a lot of flaws in his game."

Well, it didn't take long for Plant (20-0, 12 KOs) to catch wind of Jacobs' unflattering comments.

"Well, ain't that motherf—er beatable?" Plant responded in an Instagram live session with fans. "Ain't he already got beat?"

Jacobs (36-3, 30 KOs) has tasted defeat three times over the course of his pro career: to Dmitry Pirog in July 2010, Gennadiy Golovkin in March 2017 and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez last May.

Perhaps Jacobs and Plant can transfer their verbal exchange into a super middleweight title fight in the near future.

As for who Jacobs rated the best among the 168-pound titleholders?

"As far as (WBC super middleweight champion David) Benavidez, he's probably the strongest that I've seen amongst all the guys that you just mentioned."
