After a 19-month absence, Danny Garcia returns to the ring ready to not only conquer another division, but to get back on the path that has seen him face 14 world champions in his last 19 outings and amass a 36-3 record with 21 knockouts.

"Once Danny Garcia is mentally and physically strong, no one can touch him. I've proven that before, and now I'm just excited to be back. The 'Danny Garcia Show' is back and I definitely feel great. A lot of people don't know how I've been changing my body and they would be surprised to see how strong I've gotten," Garcia told the media at the pre-fight press conference.

Garcia will make his 154lb debut against Jose Benavidez Jr., who will also switch divisions in this weekend's main event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

"I'm the bigger of the two at this weight, and I feel as confident as I am strong and ready as a new version of myself. No one will be able to lay a finger on me. I don't need to impress, I'll prove myself. I am a beast. I know how talented I am and I will make this look like a piece of cake," said the brother of two-time champion David Benavidez.

Garcia, accompanied by his father and trainer Angel, showed a lot of enthusiasm and confidence ahead of this new chapter in his son's career.

"Jose Jr. doesn't have the necessary skills. We are ready to face him on July 30, The 'Danny Garcia Show' is back, and he is the best on the planet.

"When these two go toe-to-toe, they're the same size. Don't underestimate Danny," Angel told Benavidez.

Jose Benavidez Sr. - trainer and father of Jose Benavidez - acknowledged the test Garcia poses.

"We will be facing a monster, but that only motivates us even more. When Jose beats Danny Garcia, he'll be on top and looking forward to even bigger opportunities," Benavidez Sr. said.

Also on the card is a 10-round bout between American Gary Antuanne Russell and Cuban Rancés Barthelemy at super lightweight, and a heavyweight clash between Adam Kownacki and Ali Eren Demirezen.
