David Haye is leaning towards Tyson Fury in a potential undisputed clash against either Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua.

On August 20, Usyk will face Joshua in a rematch from their clash last September when the Ukranian demonstrated his full artillery to come out on points inside a congested Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Since that night, Fury has retained his WBC crown with excellent wins against Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte before announcing another retirement from the sport, a declaration that some find hard to believe.

Depending on the outcome of next month’s battle, the victor will be immediately linked to Fury, and Haye, once a rival of his compatriot, is backing the current number one.

“You’d make Fury the favourite in both of those fights on current form,” said Haye during an exclusive chat with DAZN.

“Derek Chisora gave Usyk absolute nightmares and Anthony Joshua has just lost to Usyk. Boxing doesn’t usually work like that but on current form, Fury is unbeaten, as is Usyk, but a good big un beats a good little un.

“Tyson Fury is very awkward and he’s very elusive for a big man. Even when he takes stick he gets back up. I’m not sure if there’s another heavyweight who could've taken those shots from Deontay Wilder. I’ve felt that power myself and it shows what a great chin Tyson Fury has.”
