Even though Deontay Wilder has hinted at retirement should his massive fight against Zhilei Zhang not go the way he wants it to, the former WBC world heavyweight champion says he's not feeling any pressure heading into the bout.
Wilder and Zhang headline Saturday's Queensberry vs. Matchroom 5v5 card, and for the 38-year-old it could be the last time he steps into a boxing ring. However, the confident American believes the fight will go his way, boosting him back into the world title picture.
But if it doesn't, Wilder says he's had a great run and has bigger things to focus on outside of boxing should his time in the sport come to a close.
"There's no pressure at all," Wilder told DAZN at the weigh-ins on Friday. "I've been successful inside of the ring [but] I'm more successful outside of the ring.
"I have seven kids that I love so much and they love me back unconditionally. They say you don't know what love is until you have a child so this could be the do-or-die moment for me.
"I've been so many different places, boxing's [taken] me around the world, it's been great to me, so this could be the very end if all don't go well for me.
"But I'm very confident in what I'm gonna do Saturday night, the Bronze Bomber is back."
