Deontay Wilder has expressed his desire to face Andy Ruiz as he looks to reclaim his status as heavyweight champion of the world.
Wilder made a welcome return to boxing last October when he put his incredible trilogy with Tyson Fury behind him with a brutal demolition of Robert Helenius in one round.
The performance was a stark reminder from Wilder that he’s still a major threat to the heavyweight division and he’s hoping to prove that against Ruiz.
A contest between the former world champions is almost certain to do big business and the winner of the bout will be in a promising position to compete in further huge fights.
"The biggest thing for me and Andy, it's just location, I got a lot of meetings with a lot of different people," said when speaking with ES News.
"It's coming, I want to fight Andy, I hope he wants to fight me."
