The pair are set to meet at the end of July to contest the WBC belt for a third time.

Deontay Wilder has told Tyson Fury that he will be run over ‘with a train’ after he bench-pressed 310lb in training for their July 24 fight.

The 35-year-old former WBC champion won his arbitration case against the current belt holder to force a trilogy rematch, one that derailed the potential undisputed heavyweight decider with Anthony Joshua.

At a press conference in June for the pair, Fury said he was aiming to gain enough weight ahead of the fight with Wilder to take him over 300lbs on the scale. He aimed to ‘run him over like I’m an 18-wheeler.’

Wilder has now posted a Tweet showing him bench-pressing in excess of that wait, saying:

“You say you’re a semi truck but I’m a freight train. Better get your weight up.”
