The MMA star's future in boxing is uncertain.

British heavyweight Derek Chisora has claimed that Francis Ngannou's boxing career is 'done' after losing to Anthony Joshua on Friday night.

The former UFC star was knocked out in the second round by Joshua after two previous knock downs, and is now 0-2 when it comes to his professional boxing record.

After looking promising in a split decision loss to Tyson Fury, there were some who believed Ngannou could trouble the two-time world heavyweight champion, but Joshua was back to his aggressive best and made easy work of his opponent.

With it unclear as to whether Ngannou will continue to box, Chisora has advised the Cameroonian to return to MMA and call time on his career inside the ring.

"Go back to the UFC," Chisora told iFL TV

"It was a gimmick, that’s it. We’ve found out who he is, he’s done."

If Ngannou is to return to the cage, he will be doing so under the PFL banner after joining the organisation in May 2023 and as a part of the pay-per-view "Super Fight" division.
